I've got everything crossed for a 20 point comeback like we've seen other teams do during the tournament. After the lousy calls in the last Oklahoma game, Texas is due for some karma.

We took 12 more shots than they did, and have out-rebounded them 24-19, but yet we're losing by 12 due to shooting 34% vs their 48% (all of that attributable to James). Also, I thought in the past Vic usually put Amina on tall guards? That's the only way to guard James.
There are obviously big adjustments possible here, but is it too late?

Not too late. It’s true we got punched in the mouth big time. Our true grit and determination will find a way to pull out the victory!

I will never give up on this team. If we can get this to at least a single digit game going into the 4th....anything can happen. If you are a fan post some positive stuff, if things don't go our way y'all will have the rest of the off season for that.

I would see if they could get a couple stops in a row playing some zone. Make the defense think. When you play an aggressive man to man against a much more athletic team, you play right into their hands.

I don't know that putting a 6-4 Amina on a 5-9 James.is the answer. When we have been able to actually get down court and play defense we have had some stops.
I think it all is going to come down to making shots. Missing shots allows State to jet down the court. Gonzales has missed some open looks as has Booker.

All year, we have won when someone unexpectedly hits shots. Hope someone can do that now. We're down only 8, just seems like a kazillion.

We have made some stops when we have actually been able to get down court on defense. The issue is we can't hit our shots which is allowing them to blow down the court .
