I can still hear the live play call:
On a roll ... gonna throw It!
Got him wide open baby ... Derek Lewis in a footrace!
Yes, it was good ole Brent. Was it Brent Musburger? He always used the term "footrace"
Can't agree.good ole Brent
I was being sarcastic; guess it didn't come through. I started disliking him intensely in the 60's when he refused to make picks for game winners. Brent was the epitome of "pimp the guys with the lead." I will stop there. Can't agree.
Brent, yes.
Good ole? Nope. Not gonna' go there. I never particularly liked him, and I absolutely detested hearing him shout "fumbllllllle" at the top of his lungs. By the time his career was winding down, I'd listen in silence rather than hear his voice.
Roll Left is a play which will always be remembered in Texas Football lore. If Fitzgerald doesn’t make a one-handed catch on a play earlier in the drive where Brown is nearly tackled in his own end zone, there is no Roll Left.
# 81 TE Pat Fitzgerald
Don’t worry, counting down from 75 to 50 takes forever.I swear this thread just started and we're already from 100 to 80?
