Outstanding time yesterday at the Tyson Meet.4 X 4 Women's 3:27 Top Time in the Nation.Very impress with Gordon and Akinosun and Okolo split. Men's 4 x 4 Relay 3:04 also a Top Time in the Nation.
 
Tamari davis is set to announce her commitment on Thursday. If you know track then you know Tamari Davis and Texas has been recruiting her heavy so fingers crossed she decides to come to the 40 acres

Yeah hopefully this doesn't affect her development because candace hill did the same thing and we have heard nothing from her ever since high school. I believe Tamari is different because she is a special talent but I wish nothing but the best for her and her future

They all have talent that someone is willing to pay for access. However, as an HS junior, no matter the talent level has a long road that is littered with many who took the money early ahead of her.
 
Anyone know what happened to rushelle burton? I remember seeing her for some meets last season then she just up and dissapeared and has not competed this season but she is still listed on the roster.

She isn't listed on this year's roster on texassports.com. She could have turned pro or is taking a year off to get ready for the Olympics (she will represent Jamaica).
 
Serenity douglas is now in a boot and on crutches. I don't know the extent of her injury but that is a big hit to this team. Tara Davis is still working her way back from an injury and hopefully she is back for outdoor season and now Douglas so hopefully both are ready for at the least Texas relays.
 

He went from running a 24.00 200m time as a sophomore which is jv level to a 21.1 which is the 4th fastest in the nation on the high school level. True definition of hard work :hookem:
 

If you know track then you know exactly who this is!!! She is the 2nd fastest high school runner in the country behind Tamari Davis. Coach Flo is on fire with these recruits
 

Texas picks up commitment from local track star from Stony point high school. Very fast but will be a triple jump star! Had the best jump in the nation with a jump of 50'8.5 which would have put him top 25 in the ncaa to put that in perspective.

I literally just thought of this yesterday. Something has to be wrong since she didn't compete at the big 12 indoors or indoor national championship. Coach Flo said she opted not to participate at the big 12 indoors to focus on the national championships but didn't say if it was in injury or not. She didn't participate in that either so I'm curious to know what's going on and why she has been out these past few months
 
After attending the state meet today, I don't know how we let all these athletes get away from us. Don't get me wrong, our recruiting classes have been great under coach Flo but we could literally build a national championship team with the state of Texas itself. I watched two athletes run 10.00 and 3rd place was 10.16! I haven't seen speed like what I saw today in a very long time on both the mens and women's side.
