Texas had the most standouts. The field is really competitive, which kept points away from arky and Florida.
 
Morris, Gittens and Badal are listed on the recruits signed thread but not listed on the official Texas Women’s roster.

anyone know what happened.
 
FYI -- Adeleke gave up her final year of collegiate eligibility and went pro a few days ago; signed with Nike.

Are these 2023 signees? Which "official" roster are you looking at? This past season's roster is what's still posted on TexasSports.com, not next season's roster.

If you are talking about Tyra Gittens, she transferred from A&M and finished her eligibility at Texas in June 2022.
 
Explain it like I’m 5.

How does track and field work in terms of entries at the conference championship? Does every school get a set number of entries that you can enter at the meet and you have to be strategic where they go? I’ve always been curious why the conference championship doesn’t seem to be a priority (maybe it is, IDK) but there are so many events we don’t even do. What are the rules? How does it work?
 
Doesn't seem like the NCAAs are going super well. Several high ranking women not placing and just doesn't seem like a ton of other entries. Hate that for them!
 
Texas men and women track and field teams have placed a dozen or so athletes per team in the NCAA finals. Both teams are ranked 7th or so.

To be exact, UT Women, ranked #5, advance 9 to the NCAA Championships in Eugene. The men, #7, advance 14.

The men have 17 entries.

The women have something like 15.

(The 9/14 were just from the second day of the regional. And then each have a multis athlete.)
