NCState averages 6 three pointers per game which is 159 in the nation. In their last game they made 7. Texas averages 4 and in our last game we made 5.

6’5” Senior River Baldwin averages 10 pts and 7 rebounds pg for the Wolfpack. 5 players average in double digits with Aiziaha James (#10) averaging 16 ppg.
 
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am waiting on @kurupt to tell me why I should be quaking in fear over how badly we match up, and how there is no possible way we will make it past the Wolfpack.

All these stats are meaningless until we have been graced by the infallible wisdom of the eternal pessimist.
 
This is a horrible matchup for Texas. And why is the game in Portland? Also which uniforms are we wearing? That could make all the difference in this game. Plus it’s an early game on the west cost. I fear this is the end of the road for the Horns.

Texas by 11. No stopping this team now - they are rolling!
 
The rest of the country hates Texas. We won’t get any calls. The whole crowd will be against us. The noise will be deafening. Texas by 15
 
I hope Taylor's concussion protocol is just a matter of being overly cautious. Otherwise, the steps she has to follow to get back into action may preclude her from next game.:(
 
Another tough match-up. I have no reason to think we won't be as prepared as we possibly can be. One thing I'd like to point out is that we haven't had a complete game yet where our offense matches our defense and we're clicking on all cylinders... yet here we are. I'm riding with this team win, lose, or draw. Considering the loss of Rori, an amazing (and almost unthinkable) season has already been had. It's all gravy from here.

Is SC unbeatable this year? They are slated next after the regional final. Final four appearance would be awesome nonetheless.
 
NC State will be the best and most athletic team that Texas has played all year. Their defense is just as good as Texas' defense is and they also run a really balanced 4 around 1 offense. IMO, their guards will be too athletic for Gonzalez and Holle. Also if Jones doesn't play, I think that Baldwin will cause problems for Texas. I think that NC State will win this game.

The hell of it is, I don’t think I will ever find a better gif for a response post than the one I used last night. And I spent nearly an hour searching and sorting through the options before selecting that one.

Not a pessimist. I just think that NC State will cause problems for Texas at the guard position with their athletic ability and inside play if Jones doesn't play.

Not a pessimist, my ***. You take what has to be the most cowardly position possible - you predict we will lose every. single. time. we play anybody with a pulse, then never acknowledge your inaccuracy after the fact, and simply come back next time with the same doom and gloom BS "analysis". It's a pretty sick and twisted outlook for an actual fan, but not if you're actually some closeted aggy troll.

You must just revel in the rare occasion you turn out to be correct.

Meanwhile, Iowa is putting on a clinic against CU, 81-56 with 6 minutes left. Some of the Iowa fans look strangely despondent. “Shouldn’t we be up by 50?”

Looks like the toughest matchup for the horns yet in the tournament. Kind of think that’s the way it is supposed to work? I am looking forward to a great game and, I hope, a Longhorn win.

Absolutely true. All of it. We better be on point and a lot less careless with the ball, or NC St will hurt us badly.
