LBJ proceeded to walk the first two batters in the 8th on 8 pitches.
Struck out the next.
3 run HR on the 1st pitch to the 4th batter of the inning.
swinging bunt leads to out #2.

Boy there was some crappily played baseball this year, but the past two days may be the crappiest.
 
And what was lbj still doing in the game after 1 inning 3 walks and hp. 8 out of first 9 pitches in 8th inning balls. Why is he still in and then gives up 3 run homer and game is virtually over.. We need a pitching coach.
 
With all the progress this team made since the UTRGV game they lost everything this week. If we had any semblance of a decent regional chance we just screwed ourselves into a very difficult region. I swear I don't understand how this much talent can play this poorly. :facepalm:
 
I don't know if we have that much talent, but i'll tell you this, and anyone with any baseball acumen will tell you, a lot of teams could beat this team with much less talent by simply playing solid fundamental baseball. In fact, would blow them out.
 
This team displays poor fundamentals in every phase of the game and every team they play going forward is going to take advantage of it.

Pierces' worst trait is he has no idea when to yank a pitcher. Even after an entire season he can't figure out they are done and leaves them in one or two batters too long. On the other hand Boehm was performing well but was a victim of crappy fielding but he pulled him anyway. What a *******.
 
Galvan double down lf line. 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Very hard hit ball, 3rd baseman couldn't handle it.
 
Question. Is Borba hurt?

For whatever reason, Pierce decided to PH for Brown with Kennedy, chose Kennedy instead of Borba. It's like Pierce wants to lose.

O'Dowd out on a ground ball but we do score a run. 8-4 Cincy.

Thomas up and way over due.
