Air Force Tues. for 2 games. Hopefully Horns get fully refocused.

Crummy series. But a few good takeaways:

Ace Whitehead and Max Grubbs are ready to move into weekend starter roles.

Yes. Ace and Grubbs were positive takeaways from a disappointing series.

Perhaps Pierce will have them starting vs. Bailor next weekend.

It will be interesting to see who we start in the two Air Force game.

I’d say Fontenot (but soon he should be a big contributor on weekends. ).

Hurley is the other obvious potential starter.

If Coach is looking at it from a development standpoint, then start Hudson Hamilton and see how he does. He got the start in one of the alumni games. Or Tumis. I’d also like to see some of Zaharias. He’d throw complete games in high school against some very good big school California competition. Midweek games are good places to get the young pitchers innings and see more of how they respond to real game pressure.
