The Running Game, Offense, and Some Stats

OSU and A&M sat back and took away the deep and intermediate passes. There is nothing you can do against that except taking what they give you down the field. Trying to stretch the field against a defense that is already loose is a recipe for disaster. See: Baylor. Florida shredded tOSU with runs and short passes. We could've done that. Colts killer INT was a pass forced into soft coverage. Selvin Young was wide open underneath. He would've easily had a first down if he had the ball.

And I don't know how in the world you can hold Colts lack of TD passes against KSU against him.

As a diveback. Not as a power runner.

Vondrell and Lane can both turn 2 yard gains into 4 yard gains. They just do it differently.

He will get better at seeing the entire field and seeing the open man, whether it be underneath as in the Selvin example or farther down the field which did happen at times last year as well.

Good news for everyone is the passing and running games should both be better this year.
