Thank you

I have not posted till now because I did not know what to say. I still don't but won't put it off any longer. As a moderator in the forums he frequented often I have to look at many, many entries. Too many sometimes. Yet his posts due to his personal touch, his wise youth (yeah, I said it...he was a voice of youth for us and damnit, was wise too) and all that was him as a poster here almost always caught my eye. That says something given the amount of garble I have to muck through.

I think of him when I see kids walking around campus, milling about at a mall or just being young men/women. I think of my grandmother too. People that did at least something at one time or another to make me think and then learn something.

Thank you for taking the time to post here. He really was a notable charachter amongst thousands of anonymous people. That is a feat that many try to accomplish yet he did so by just being himself. He already accomplished in his short time what some strive for in a longer lifetime. He left the world having touched many and making it a better place thru them. I can only hope to be so lucky to do the same.

Thank you for lending us your son. I mean this wholeheartedly. Hook 'em Horns.

My deepest condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. May mihm_rules memory live on forever...

I have two boys and I cannot imagine your loss. Be strong and hang in there. It hurts too much to think of losing a child.

I am sorry for your loss. I am glad to see you as it reminds me of your son who had an amazing life/energy, and who is missed everyday by his Longhorn family.

mihm_rules, rules.
So does his dad

First of all, thank you to all of the faithful Longhorn posters on hornfans who grieved -- and continue to grieve -- for our son, Gary (mihm_rules).

Also, a special thank you to Robert and Katy for the beautiful burnt-orange flowers they sent from hornfans.

Gary loved UT sports, and his mother and I will continue that passion.

We hope to see all of Gary's Internet 'friends' at the hornfans' tailgate prior to the Baylor game on Oct. 2.

Until then, Hook 'Em and God bless.
