Next year is next year. I've been on the fence with Pierce, he's winning just enough to keep his job. He's fired a couple of pitching coaches, now it's all on Pierce, no one else to fire but himself if pitching fails again but the standard is Omaha.
Jay Johnson won the national title in only his second season at LSU, TCU coach Sarloos went deeper last year and won the conference title in only his first season and is picked to win it again in his third season this year, that has to hurt.
Pierce is on year 8 and is struggling to find three real starters for the second year in a row. It's unacceptable in this state, a state full of fireballers. We've had some talented teams with Pierce and i thought this team was more talented than he's had since he's been here but maybe i was wrong? It is still early and I still see talent but it's frustrating to watch.

Lol, I feel like we always suck in this season starting type series whether in Houston or DFW. Seems like we do just fine every year.

Yeah we started our year 0-3 in a tournament last year and were 1 game away from going to Omaha and the end of the season. Not time to panic yet.
