Texas / Colo State

A couple of posters have pointed out that the Horns have "no" perimeter shooters, other than Abmas and he is inconsistent due to not getting open shots on a consistent basis. True this is.
However, I.T. Horton was/is considered a scorer who can fill it up from long range. And Disu has been consistent (last game excepted) from mid range.
I think Tennessee has the better talent and athleticism up and down the lineup, and they will be favored by single digits to win the game.

However, the Horns could win the game if
1) Disu has a game where he shoots 50% from mid-range in to layups/dunks; Horton takes 3's and makes 35% or better, and Abmas scores 25+.
2) the horn defense is tight, swarming and causing turnovers which lead to points.
3) the Horns win the turnover battle, with Tennessee turning it over between 10 and 15 times.
Yes, it will take a perfect storm but perfect storms are know to happen. You can bet I'll be watching the game to see how this brewing storm plays out.

I’ve been curious about IT this season. First off in about half of the games I’ve seen, he barely plays. And when he does you almost don’t notice he’s even on the floor. Second, he barely shoots at all. Probably averages around 5 shots per game. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was less. I think he’s good, he just doesn’t really show it. He was not relevant at all in Big 12 play. He would need to have the game of his life.

You’re confusing negativity with reality. Sorry if you don’t like discussing reality. You can keep hoping that the team is good or that we have a good offense or the coaching is good. I choose to see it for what it is and I’m not scared to be real about discussing that. You’re putting lipstick on a pig and I still see the pig.

I get several of you think Terry is satan so as a good Christian you despise him, but CDC didn’t schedule CSU. The NCAA is to blame for that. Good for sand aggy for losing to a basketball power house lol. Horns took care of business. It’s ok to be good with that. Geez :smile1:

And every optimist loves to bury their head in the sand and think everything is ok when it’s not. You’re not especially insightful either just a cool-aid chugger who is in denial. You probably don’t want to hear that about 50 teams have played in the tournament so far and we’ve scored about the fifth least points. Let me explain, that’s bottom ten in offense. Rather than discuss that you’d prefer to focus on the fact that our opponent was awful and allowed us to back into a win and just golf clap. You’re golf clapping isn’t adding anything either.

You probably don't want to hear that about 50 teams have played in the tournament so far and our defense held the opponent to the least points of any team. That's #1 in defense.
