Up through about 2009, Texas had some unbelievable secondary's. Since then not so much. Would love us to get back to an aggressive/dominate defensive style. Far too many believe last year changed with pk. You have to look at the pathetically weak ou team we got (love typing 49-0) but had that been a normal ou team our d would have been much lower in all standings. ou couldnt beat a solid Texas HS team on that day in the cotton bowl. I believe we have the potential to be one of those dominant defenses but only time will tell.

It was very odd.

A 5 star Junior commits out of the blue. No hype, no media aware. The production of the commitment was very strange, about 5 minutes of dead air and a dark room.

Just all felt off.

Thats a nice thing but like or not, riley is a formidable coach and recruiter. Like the pirate (Mike Leach), he has an exceptional offense and any player on that side of the ball should and would take notice. Rileys weak spot has been on D coaching so time will tell if they fixed any of that side yet.
