2022 Recruiting - Softball

Sydney Kroll from Poth HS in attendance at the Ole Miss game today. This was retweeted by @Texassoftball. Appears to be a recruit.
 
Sorry to dump this here, but I couldn't find a 2023 recruiting thread and certainly didn't want to create one! I've learned a lot about football recruiting from blogs and some Twitter accounts. But softball recruiting is still a mystery to me. Please look at this tweet and tell me what it means?



I sent to the player's twitter profile and saw that she's going to be a 2023 HS graduate. But then if you look at her twitter banner, it's "big" TEXAS. Does this means she's a player who wants to be recruited and signed by Texas? She lives in Florida but plays for a club team called "Texas Glory Florida Softball" which is quite (!) confusing.

Any lessons on how one reads this type of tweet?

Probably coming to Texas on a visit.

I assume she plays for Texas Glory for club but lives in Florida. Could be a parent thing where she lives with one in the summer. Or she just likes that club.

Doubt she’s committed to Texas but does like the team and excited for the visit.
 
I started a 2023 recruiting thread and dropped her tweet as the first post. My guess is she was invited by coaching staff and this is an unofficial visit ?

Texas Glory is a select organization based out of the DFW area and has teams all over and they have a Florida team in Tampa. What's really odd to me is they call them the Texas Glory Fl AND she apparently lives in Kansas. She is only 5'5" and her team mostly plays in USSSA events which are generally speaking lower level less competitive tourneys. Her Bio shows 2017 PGF runner up, but unless she was with a different org (which is possible) that isn't correct. I'd be surprised if UT were actually recruiting her so she's probably coming to a camp and posted all the UT stuff to show support.

She's definitely getting out there as here is the list of camps attended so far. It doesn't mean she's being recruited by all or any of them, but has gone to camps there. Man that's a lot of cash to spend on camps.

University of Alabama, UNC Chapel Hill, Notre Dame University South Bend, IN. University of South Florida, Florida State University, University of Florida, University of Tampa.

Hutzler hits for power as well; also being followed on Twitter by coaches from NC ST, A&M, Texas Tech, Mississippi St, Syracuse, and Seton Hall among some other smaller universities.

I was tempted to throw up a lot of re-tweets from Texas Softball showing all these players in recent camp. Not to show potential recruits (because I know nothing about travel ball and their abilities). But to show how this staff is aggressively and publicly "courting" future players.

Also, as a odd aside. You can see the new field screen going up slowly depending on which picture and which player you click on.

I wouldn’t usually forward a post from a camp participant either, but with her being a high recruit, followed on SM by some of our players, and seemingly really liking the UT experience I figured she could potentially be a recruit. Both her parents are UTSA alumni but She seems a little too talented to be a roadrunner. Also, super excited about the field and first pitch. 10 days, hook ‘em

Interesting read about the changes in recruiting rules causing her early commit and now the transfer portal affecting her - how watching who transfers in/out of places affects her future plans.
 
Assistant coach Steve Singleton has started following 2022 Auburn verbal commitment, pitcher Emmah Rolfe of Madison, AL on twitter, and vice verse.

 
Coach Singleton started following pitcher Ruby Meylan out of Nebraska on twitter a few days ago. And, now Coach White has started following her (and he rarely follows a recruit on twitter unless they are like Top 10 nationally).

Although she hasn't started following either of them her Dad started following Coach Singleton.

 
Wish list for 2022 starts with two from San Antonio:

Leighann Goode SS Helotes smooth as silk at short. Can swing it too.

Destiny Rodriguez C Judson former Oregon commit under MW. Elite level bat.
 
Looks like NBhorn got their wish. Leighann Goode commits to the Horns. A shortstop prospect from San Antonio O’Connor

Not sure you will see a slew. The ones that seems to be committing have already been to camps and/or committing to schools who were leading the whole time. Aiyana Coleman from the bombers I assume we were going after as well just committed to the Aggies. Not too surprised since she is from BCS.

Destiny Rodriguez who I mentioned before committed to Tennessee. She was a former Oregon recruit for Mike White.
 
Who is this? I don’t have a Flosoftball subscription but I don’t think it’s anyone already on racer’s list.
