Personally, I'd be ok with requiring one to be 21 to buy an AR-15, but it'll never happen, because it's a bad faith position. If Republicans accepted that compromise, would Democrats also accept it and stop trying to ban them? No.

It would become like gay marriage. Republicans largely acquiesced to gay marriage. Did that end the fight? No. They moved on to wanting dudes showering in girls locker rooms and wanting drag queens around small children. The fight never ends, and Republican acquiescence to a higher age requirement to buy AR-15s wouldn't end any fights on this issue either.

It depends on what you mean by "Marxist ideology." If that only means saying "Marx was right," probably not. But if you haven't seen Marxist principles advanced in public schools, you're not looking. It's almost a defining characteristic of modern public education.

They're career political and social activists with great sway in popular culture and big business who just like anything that bothers traditionalists.
