These are a list of UT commitments all from the Connie Clark time.

Camryn Wincher SS Dobie HS, Houston 5'10" - Found an article that on August 7, 2018 she had de-committed from Texas due to the Coaching change thus opening up her recruitment.
Crystal Davila 3B/SS Corpus Christi King HS
Hailey Hudson P College Station HS
Hannah Earls OF/2B Willis HS, Willis, Texas
Jayden Smith 1B/3B/C/SS George Ranch High School, Richmond, Texas

This is the only thing I could find on Crystal Davila confirming her commitment to Texas.

Hannah Earls was a teammate with McKenzie Parker last year at Willis HS. McKenzie is a freshman on the UT Softball team this year.

I could not find any information on the internet that confirmed Jayden (JJ) Smith, she goes by JJ, to being committed to Texas? Her commitment may not be valid information.

She has not updated her sports recruits page as committed to Texas.

Now that softball is underway and the "Mike White" effect so evident in our play, I'm actually excited about softball again. Some old-timers who sit next to us and had given up their season tickets the last couple of years have returned.

Now, the interesting chess game that is recruiting comes up. Here is the original 2020 commit list posted with updates:
Camryn Wincher SS Dobie HS, Houston 5'10" - decommitted. "mutually agreed to part ways" according to the article posted in this thread.
Crystal Davila 3B/SS Corpus Christi King HS - decommitted, now with Houston (C/O '20 IF Crystal Davila commits to Houston Softball)
Hailey Hudson P College Station HS - confirmed via twitter handle, @haileyyyhudson
Hannah Earls OF/2B Willis HS, Willis, Texas - @hannahhearls
Jayden (JJ) Smith 1B/3B/C/SS George Ranch High School, Richmond, Texas - reference in Dec 2018 article (Coach Talk: Catching Up with John Carpenter... Becoming A Texas Bomber & The Latest with Win The Moment - Extra Inning Softball)

I don't have a FloSoftball account, so this is all research on the edges. There was one free listing that showed the current rankings of teams in terms of their 2020 commitments. Of course, OU is #1. In this simple table, was the list of their commitments and the listing of the players' ranking according to some ranking.

OU's list and then Texas' listing:

I wonder who we have considered committed and who we have as #2 in their list of top 200? OU has some short stop #1 from the Ft Worth area, of course.

In the Dallas Morning News HS Sports Page, they did a softball preview of the Metroplex a week or so ago. The only mention of Texas was related to 2019 pitcher Grace Green from Birdville. Said she missed 2018 to injury but is back. Ranked 39th in the state based on 2017 year. Her coach was quoted that in 2016 as a freshman she was the top pitcher in the state. Not 2020 but will be watching to see if she has a good comeback and stays committed to the Horns.

She signed last Fall. (2019 Recruiting - Softball)

There's a new website this year called Softball America, and it's free-ish!
In their recruiting news for 2020, they list the top 50. Unfortunately, players: #1, #2, and #10 in their list seemed to be going to OU. I hope Mike can start turning the ship around in that regards:
Ranking The Top 2020 High School Softball Recruits

We had one player, Camryn Wincher (#34), on that list until Mike and she parted ways (see above).

Was just looking at the Softball America top 50 and out of the kids from Texas:
# 1 Jayda Coleman, The Colony HS, committed to OU
# 26 Hayden Brown, Keller HS, committed to LSU
# 31 Britton Rogers, Cypress Ranch HS, committed to Georgia
# 32 Skylar Brooks, Miles HS, Committed to Old Miss
# 34 Camryn Wincher, Dobie HS, Committed to Michigan State
# 45 Trinity Cannon, Forney HS, Committed to Texas A&M
All these kids committed as Sophomores and Freshmen.
Coach White has his work cut out for himself in the state. Hope he can make an impact with these top players in the 2021 recruiting class.

It appears the only commits Texas has for 2020 are hold overs from the Connie Clark era:
Hailey Hudson P College Station HS, College Station, Texas
Hannah Earls OF/2B Willis HS, Willis, Texas
I'm sure this list will change dramatically before the end of the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Would love to know who they are bringing in! I love Coach Singleton’s enthusiasm and updates!

Looks like for 2020 we lost some commits but gained some as well.

We lost Hailey Hudson. Not sure if she is considering us anymore, but she is open again.
Hannah Earls is a big question mark. Almost seems as if she gave up softball.

We gained:
Bailey Williams SS/OF from Murrietta Valley, CA Bats L/ Throws R
Kyleigh Sand IF/OF from Norco, CA Bats L/ Throws R

First, thank you for this information.

Second, how do you know or learn of these changes?

I understand football recruiting. But volleyball and softball recruiting is so.....invisible to me.

So the updated list for 2020 (with red for no longer committed)

Camryn Wincher SS Dobie HS, Houston 5'10" - decommitted. "mutually agreed to part ways" according to the article posted in this thread.
Crystal Davila 3B/SS Corpus Christi King HS - decommitted, now with Houston (C/O '20 IF Crystal Davila commits to Houston Softball)
----- First set of decommits, partially Connie's recruits -----

Hailey Hudson P College Station HS - confirmed via twitter handle, @haileyyyhudson
Hannah Earls OF/2B Willis HS, Willis, Texas - @hannahhearls
----- Second set of decommits -----

Jayden (JJ) Smith 1B/3B/C/SS George Ranch High School, Richmond, Texas
Bailey Williams SS/OF from Murrietta Valley, CA
Kyleigh Sand IF/OF from Norco, CA

That sound about right?

Yep thats correct. The Earls thing I'm not really in the know on, I just don't see her listed on any club teams. Hudson probably decommitted because we are looking at some other 2020 pitchers.

The two new commits play for the Corona Angels. Sand was committed to DePaul before not sure about Williams though. Williams looks like she could be really good though.

Hannah Earls played for the Texas Dirt Divas 16u team this summer. I don’t believe she would have decommited unless she was told directly from the Texas coaches there was no place for her.
I could not find that Haley Hudson played select ball this summer so it wouldn’t surprise me if the coaches told her she was no longer part of Texas’s future.

Yeah, I dug into Hudson because she lives in College Station and you'd think she'd be a fan of the Aggies. Plus her dad lectures about sports business at the University. I wondered how she felt being a pitcher and coming to a school where we were going to be stacked with pitchers again.

Per the Corona Angels web site link below it shows Bailey Williams and Kyleigh Sand committed to Texas.
18 Gold
Almost every player on this 18u team is committed to a D-1 school!
NB must be a real sleuth to find this information! It’s certainly not public knowledge.

New addition to the commitment list, Ryleigh White, Immaculate Heart Academy, Washington Township, New Jersey. Right handed pitcher.

Ryleigh is a recent flip from Tennessee!! Article below is from August 16, 2019.
Extra Star Power: How New Jersey Pitcher Ryleigh White Has “Embraced the Journey,” Overcome the Deaths of Loved Ones & Excelled In Softball (& Life) - Extra Inning Softball

Thanks for digging these out for us!

Bailey Williams SS/OF from Murrietta Valley, CA
Kyleigh Sand IF/OF from Norco, CA
Ryleigh White, RHP, Washington Township, New Jersey

I believe you can take Jayden Smith off the list. I can’t find it anywhere in her profile that she’s committed to Texas! Plus Coach White seems to have wiped the slate clean of Connie Clark’s commitments.
