Thomas struggles in the 2nd, gets two outs and then proceeds to load the bases with 2 HBP's and then a walk. In comes Lummus and first thing he does is HBP to score a run.

Pick off move to 2nd catches the runner off guard, called safe but looks like he might be out. Under review. Call stands. Guess there wasn't enough evidence to overturn.

K to end the inning though to stop the bleeding. But it wasn't without drama.

I don't think Schuessler is fast enough to be stealing bases. He was out by a mile, SS checked out his favorite onlyfans page waiting on Shoos to get there.

Good grief, slow bouncing ball up middle shading to third a little and powell gets the out but it is bang, bang. Whew.

This game is a cluster ****. It's hard to maintain any positivity with the team playing like it is. They somehow got hot in the 9th inning against cougar high and if not and they end up losing this game I'm convinced Pierce doesn't even make it to the end of the season. Lucky him. If we had an actual pitching coach maybe they would be improving as the season comes along. But it's the same crap different day.

Uh brother, if Dup throws a fast ball it will be a grand slam. We have several pitchers that throw a flat fast ball and hitters T off on them, Dup is one of those pitchers. Tole and Hurley are a couple of others.

Then he didn't need to be out there. Walks and hit batters destroyed that inning. How does a blue blood baseball program get to a place where we have zero pitching and have to put guys in that have no business being there?

Our pitching staff just dug a very deep hole. Our bats can dig us out. Better to start early than later.

We're to the point a guy is wearing a black ski mask over his face. He might make it on TV because he's sitting in the first row just to the Rio Grande side of home plate.

I imagine Woody Williams is super glad he isn't here to be associated with this train wreck. This staff was competitive toward the end of the season last year, you could see incremental improvements and was starting to show some resemblance of a serviceable staff at the end. This year is getting worse as the season goes along, not better.

We've been lucky in a couple of games to win the series, much like this past weekend, but that luck is going to run out and this team might just fall completely apart.

What's funny to me is strong Pierce supporters maintain that Pierce isn't responsible for a pitcher throwing balls. Not sure how that works cause he most definitely is.
