Starbucks Coffee is ****

Seriously, who drinks this crap and likes it? I had some burnt bitter crap this morning in a hotel. It's always the same. I can see Americans liking it. Most will eat or drink anything...but how does this crap make it in Europe and South America where they have great coffee and people supposedly care about food. I do not understand.

Maybe the hotel serves something cheaper than the Starbucks stores. That wouldn’t be a surprise.

I usually skip SB unless there is no other choice in the morning. I feel like I'm bring ripped off paying ~ $2.50 ~ for regular coffee with a fancy name that usually tastes rather bitter.

Never been a fan either. Like mentioned above I avoid unless it's the only thing open or around. I would rather have bad gas station coffee because at least I'm only pay $1.25 for bad coffee instead of $3. I hate it when my coffee option in my hotel room is Starbucks.

the blond roast is slightly more palatable, but yea, SB sucks. McDonalds coffee is cheaper and better.

I don't know why someone had to drag America through the mud.... last time I read in Europe the coffee sucked balls.

I do like South American beans, particularly Costa Rican....

They all drink espressos and the like through Europe. Its difficult to find a full cup of coffee over there. I believe Starbuck created a coffe that tastes like an espresso to be more "European" but in a full cup format to fit American demands. Yuck! Figures with so many Americans who think everything in Europe is better would think that is good coffee.

...convenient.

As an airline pilot, and @ShAArk92 and @CaptHornAA could probably attest, Starbucks is usually the most prevalent and consistent in airports. Now, if Seattle's Best was in every airport, we would have a winner. I love SLC trips so I can get a Seattle's Best.

Starbucks is not great and not horrible. It's strong, and I like that. Not a fan of Dunkin'. I think it is Gawd awful.

To illustrate how much I like coffee, I order Community Coffee Dark Roast whole bean and have it shipped to me. I grind it fresh and brew it in a Bialetti Mocha Pot, or, colloquially, Italian Percolator.

I like strong Dunkin. Their whimpy brew is .... awful. DFW at A9 is a good spot. Now, y'all must allow cutting privileges if you are there before me! :p

i'll get a Mickey D coffee before a Starbucks.
Okay, you have lost all credibility except throwing out the idea of cutting. Why don't coffee businesses have a separate line just for coffee purchases?

LOL.

Just calling it like I see it.

Dunkin at DFW A9 DOES ... coffee only ... other line for coffee plus. :) Winning.

Actually, prefer McDonalds coffee to Dunkin. But you nailed it Starbucks is omnipresent. and those little egg disks with the roasted pepper will keep you alive.

Starbucks, just like I/O is much overrated overhyped. The best coffee is Katz's, just have to find a coffee shop/restaurant that serves Katz's. Or, if you live in Houston, you can buy from them directly.

Central Market Carry's Katz coffee too. It's good stuff.

HiC,

If you like Community Dark Roast, you really need to get your hands on Seaport Dark Roast. Nothing else comes close. I believe the parent name is still Texas Coffee Company on Railroad Ave in Beaumont.

Brewed properly, you can whistle & it will get up and walk to you. I do suggest a couple of grains of salt in the grinds before brewing; really cuts the bitterness.
