Speculation for 2018 Soccer season

It's been good to see all the updates on Twitter as the ladies return. Is there an outside source that is giving prognosis on the team and women's college soccer for 2018?

a pair of Longhorns were named to the preseason All-Big 12 soccer team.

Forward Cyera Hintzen and Haley Berg, who plays forward and midfield, were named to the team Wednesday. Berg earned a spot on the team as a midfielder.

It’s the second year in a row that Hintzen earned a spot on the preseason squad. The junior was an All-American last season and led the Big 12 with 25 points....

Berg is coming off a season in which she earned the honor as the Big 12’s freshman of the year.

Cyera Hintzen, soccer
There was so much excitement created by the recruitment and arrival of Haley Berg last season, other players got overlooked. That was probably fine with Hintzen. But now’s the junior’s time to shine the brightest.

Hintzen led the Longhorns with 10 goals last season and five assists, both team highs. Earlier this month she was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy preseason watch list. It’s the highest award given in collegiate soccer. She’s already scored twice in this young season, including a goal against No. 4 North Carolina earlier this week as part of a 1-1 draw.

Coach Angela Kelly’s recruiting class was ranked 16th nationally. The Horns were picked third in the Big 12 preseason poll. Sounds too optimistic? Hintzen will bury those doubts in the back of the net.

Moving on up in the rankings. Really look forward to the upcoming Big 12 season. Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech are all ranked in the top 25.

Where the heck were the Canadian girls, Grosso and Regan? I didn’t even see them on the bench?

But, as you said, the big thing was the win, even though they weren't playing their best game. :hookem2:
 
In a long season there will be days like today where we don't play our best yet find a way to win..Way to go Ladies!!
