Does anyone here read a newspaper on a regular basis?

I haven't looked at the stats but I expect that readership has dropped significantly in the last 20 years or so. Maybe a few major papers will survive as an online thing if they can get people to subscribe, or they will start publishing whatever ******** will get clicks and earn a buck that way. Seems like a dying business model, the paper version anyway.

Driver,

Every morning, I check the obituaries in the Houston Chronicle, Beaumont Surprise, unAmerican-Statesman, DMN, & Star Telegram. If I'm not in any of those, then I check emails & the TV station sites for the stories the paper required payment for.

I subscribe online to the Fort Worth Startelegram and the Dallas Morning News. I get home delivery of the DMN on Sunday (pretty decent coverage of the Rangers, Stars, Mavs, and the Cows).

when my kids were in HS we subscribed to the local paper so we could keep them when they were in there. Outside of those 3ish years I haven't bought a paper in probably 25 years.

We get the Houston Chronicle at work. (The actual paper newspaper.) I usually flip through the front section while the Keurig is preparing my coffee. Then I’ll read the Business section while sipping my brew. Like a lot of newspapers, the Chron is a shadow of what it was 25 years ago. (And the Houston Post ceased publication in April 1995. The Post building is still there—located between Westpark and the Southwest Freeway—and I occasionally drive past it. The building is now used by the Chronicle.) The internet has been rough on print newspapers.
