New NFL Kickoff Rule

Needs some refinement. I bet the kicking team eventually places a "safety" 10-15 yards back, that contact line looks pretty brittle - get past one or two guys and the returner is behind everyone except the kicker, whom I do not consider a meaningful defender in that much space.

I see some of the reasoning behind it. Want to see a few games to see if it does what NFL thinks it will.

Thank you. I had given up hope that Goodell & NFL brass ever "thought" about anything other than their overblown paychecks and expense reports.
 
It does get tiring watching all the NFL kickoffs go into the end zone with no runbacks. I'll watch to see how the new concept works out.
