So, I came across Misty May's instagram story today and she was at the TX vs OSU volleyball match yesterday. Any connection with her gunning for the Beach head coaching spot?! Inquiring minds want to know. ; )

Misty May is following Jerrit, his wife, and the Texas volleyball account via Instagram. Might not mean much but one can dream!

So what I’ve heard is that Eric Sullivan will be the coach this year. He said recently that he doesn’t expect Texas to be competitive in the first 18 months of competition. Texas will play in three tournaments this spring and none being in Austin. After 18 months Texas will transition to a new coach and begin to recruit real beach players instead of the indoor team making up the team.

Sounds like she is being paid as a consultant if the plan this year is to use in-house coaches and players.

Will next year's beach team also consist of the indoor players? I'm reading a lot of the Instagram postings from the indoor players commenting on the end of the season and ending the posting, "until next year," or something similar. Is it that the beach team won't consist of true beach players until the 2025 season?

So what was said by Texas was that a coach would be hired in the coming months and recruiting will begin immediately. With that being said I could see our indoor team playing again next season until Texas can get a full cycle of recruits to come and take over.
