I thought he called the cops because someone broke the back windshield in his suv and when the cops got there he had about 5 lbs. of weed in the cargo bay, not even covered. The teams after that incident started a slow descent from excellence, just sayin.

You are correct. If he had been smart enough to put it in his trunk, it's doubtful police would have looked, but it was in full view in the back seat.
