KSU—We Won the Series at #23 KSU

This one is Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Easter Weekend).

KSU has a good record built mostly on beating crummy teams.

They have one stud pitcher -- Wentworth. He is being used as a reliever. Jacob Frost is a serviceable starter/reliever. Frost and Wentworth combined for a no hitter vs Cincinnati. Neighbors is another good reliever. After Wentworth, Frost and Neighbors, the Cats' starting pitching drops off. Perhaps this is a bullpen looking for some quality starters. Boerema has had his moments, but overall, KSU's staff has put up some lousy numbers against some mediocre and worse competition.

But they do score runs...

Pierce has yet to win a series in Manhattan, losing there in both 2018 and 2022 (no conference games in 2020, remember that?). Hopefully his fortunes change there this weekend.

Powell fields the grounder and gets the runner at 2N. Kennedy can’t turn the double play

One down. Runner on first.

Ha! Picked off the runner! Good move by LBJ. Got him too far off the bag and in a rundown.

2 away

LBJ getting yanked after only 1 inning. He cant throw a strike they dont tag for extra bases. Def not helping him any either.
Kennedy didn’t help him much in the field. Flores also made an overthrow. We’re jus OFF. Fortunately, it looks like we can hit them well……
