Powell flies out in left field foul territory and shallow, Thomas tries to score, not a smart decision considering the opponent and top of the lineup here, call on the field was he was out. Under review and based on what we see on video, doesn't look like we can determine enough to change.

I can't imagine the 3rd base coach sending Thomas on this play. He had to make this decision on his own.
