My neighbor who rents the house next door was going to put a New Braunfels smoker in the garbage. Her reasoning was that 'they didn't use it and the kids played on it like it was a jungle gym'. She doesn't even OWN the thing, yet felt compelled to throw it away.
Since no self respecing Texan can let that happen, I took it off her hands, free of charge. If the original owner wants it back, it's his.
It needs a bit of work such as new grates and probably some paint in the next year but damn, I couldn't let her throw it away.
BTW, here's my 2nd attempt at smoking a brisket
