Flamingo Hotel - LV

I became a fan of the Flamingo Hotel casino last year - smallish casino, but well-lit (hate the dark environs of say, Mirage), friendly dealers, and outstanding drink service. Threw around enough cash to get some free rooms, so going there in March with some buddies.

Since I haven't actually stayed there before, any thoughts on the hotel?

Flamingo is underrated. Obviously not as flashy as the newest/biggest places, but it's a solid place in a good location on the Strip. Also, for those of us who don't get comped - it's got pretty cheap rooms.

I stay there quite often. Like others have said, it's not the most glamorous place, but you can't beat the location and price. The rooms are mainly a stardard setup like you would see at a generic hotel.

My group stays there every year in March. We get very cheap rooms since we always stay there. We talk about changing every year, but with March Madness the rates elsewhere are pretty high. To us it's not worth it to pay an extra $100 or so per night.

The rooms are fine - nothing fancy. The casino is OK, but obviously nothing special.

Thats where I stayed and I liked it. They gave us a cheap upgrade to give us a view of the strip/Caesars Palace/Bellagio Fountain. Agree with the others, it's cheaper but still nice. The rooms were not anything special, but there wasn't a thing wrong with them. Everyone there is friendly. The pool areas are pretty nice. And it's the only place where I actually won some $$$!
