Douglas Murry on indigenous people

I recently scheduled an appointment for my great aunt. I noted that Outlook referred to that day as Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day. My question is, who was here first, and why does it matter? We are being overrun at the border, are we now Indigenous?

That really is annoying and the point of liberals. Columbus Day is a federal holiday! That belongs on US calendars. Indigenous Day is a city or state (less than 2/5th though) something - maybe holiday, maybe resolution. That doesn't need to be on a nationwide calendar.

The point of holidays is to celebrate your people group. Being forced to celebrate other people groups is a form of tyranny.

Guy, I only mentioned Indigenous People's Day as I noticed it on my Outlook calendar. I can't remove it.

I agree with you, It's Columbus Day.

Years ago, I worked for Microsoft, and they were "woke" before I ever heard the term. You did not take Christmas Vacation; you took Winter Holiday. As explained to me, "Let's not upset the non-Christian associates."

I got tired of the nonsense and left Microsoft.

I know you can't remove it, which is why it's beyond stupid. What if you live in a location that doesn't recognize it? Still on there!
